Ngāti Kahu: April Mapping Workshop

Another successful geospatial technology workshop was held for te iwi o Ngāti Kahu on the 15th April 2025 in Kaitāia. Over 12 participants came eager to put their theories to the test and used their problem-solving skills to set up succession plans for their iwi, hapū, marae and whānau across multiple different taiao kaupapa.

From water catchments and wai sovereignty, wai management, mapping of significant sites and collaborative wānanga - this cohort are taking the right steps to future-proof their iwi assets by way of geospatial technologies and developing an indepth understanding on how to put such tools to use.
